Of guest-blogging, reviews, and pants

Taylor Brooks has very kindly hosted me as part of her new feature, Tuesday 20, in which she showcases the first twenty lines of a new or current release. Red Moon Rising is the featured book this week.

Today is a busy day for more than just the Norwegian Curling Team’s pants* (though they too have been busy out on the ice in Sochi), because A Liar’s Moon has received a lovely review from Robyn Elliot at The Romance Reviews. Thanks for the review, Robyn, and I’m delighted you enjoyed the book!

“I would definitely recommend this book for readers who like their M/M characters with flesh on the bones, so to speak, and who enjoy shifter stories involving themes of passion, betrayal and the courage to love. A book to curl up with, with a glass of red wine and a crackling fire. Just don’t open the curtains if the moon is waxing high.”

*Just in case anyone has missed the joy of the Norwegian Curling Team’s pants:

They even have their own facebook page, which I may or may not be following.

A Liar’s Moon review, Karl, and competence porn

A Liar’s Moon has just received a lovely 4.5 Sweet Pea review from Lucky over on Mrs Condit & Friends Read Books. Thank you, Lucky, and I’m so glad it lived up to expectations!

“Favorite character: Karl – I’m dying to know his story. Even though he’s a secondary character in this one, he’s definitely someone you do not want to mess with.”

I’m seeing something of a pattern – Karl appears to be a favourite character with quite a few people. We get some competence porn from him in Red Moon Rising, but I’m afraid his full story will have to wait for the last book. He’s just not as pushy as some of the others. He could kill them where they sleep, but he’s not pushy.

A Liar’s Moon – released today! (Also, Tom Hiddleston’s thighs)

Today is release day for A Liar’s Moon. It’s currently available from Siren BookStrand with a 10% new release discount.

I really should be working hard on the fourth book in the Strength of the Pack series, but I’m taking a couple of days off while I recover from the experience of seeing Tom Hiddleston rock Coriolanus. The production made some interesting choices, and the cast were, by and large, superb. And just in case anyone thinks I have pretensions toward being a theatre critic, I should confess that my overriding recollection of the play was of Tom kneeling, legs splayed and arms outstretched as he offered his throat to the knife. I hadn’t appreciated just how lithely muscular he is. Especially his thighs.

Okay, that’s enough of that, or I’ll never get anything done….  Long and Short reviews today gave An Impossible Mate a lovely review:

…Matt and Jesse were a fun couple to get to know because of the opposites attract scenario, Jesse being wild and free and defiant while Matt was tight and structured and used to having his way as an Alpha. Though both men are broken in their own ways and had learned to live with that, Joy Lynn Fielding was able to bring these two together in a beautiful, and sexy way. The attraction between the two was hot and sweet all at the same time….

A Liar’s Moon available for pre-order

A Liar’s Moon, second in my Strength of the Pack series, is released on December 11th and is now available for pre-order at a 10% discount.

A handsome stranger walks into the Elk Ridge diner and into Jason Nichols’ heart. The first time Jason speaks to Riley Clark, he falls a little in love. By the time he sleeps with Riley, he’s head over heels. But Riley is a man on a mission. And that mission is to expose the secret Jason’s pack is protecting.

Cover for A Liar’s Moon

Another lovely cover from Christine Kirchoff for the second book in this series. I think she’s captured both Jason’s and Riley’s characters perfectly – yes, Riley really is that smirky and cocky. Till you get to know him. Then he’s worse.

A Liar’s Moon is released on December 11th.

A Liar’s Moon

I’ve just signed the contract for A Liar’s Moon, the sequel to An Impossible Mate which comes out next month. And I promise that the next book in the series, which I’m currently working on, has a title that doesn’t start with an article!
