Meet Jesse Turner

An Impossible Mate is out today (and available in Kindle Unlimited) .

Jesse is one of the main characters in An Impossible Mate – and it’s just possible he’s the more impossible of the two, though it’s a close-run thing!

While Matt is an alpha who’d very much like a quiet life, Jesse is a stray wolf who’s a menace to poultry. He’s also a walking disaster for any alpha hoping for peace and quiet.

And then Jesse stumbles into Matt’s territory…

Something to give you an idea of what Matt (and I) are up against. This is what happened when I asked Jesse to complete a short get-to-know-you questionnaire for a recent newsletter:

Jesse Turner’s Extremely Unhelpful Questionnaire
(completed under protest, while Matt stood nearby looking judgmental)

Jesse: Not so much standin’ as looming. He loomed, dammit. How’s a man supposed to concentrate?

What’s your idea of a perfect day?
Not getting chased. Not getting bitten. Not being murdered by chickens. Also, sugar.

Biggest pet peeve?
Alphas who pretend they’re subtle and not looming. If you’re over six foot and glowering, you ain’t exactly subtle.

Strengths?
Uh, stamina? From runnin’, I mean, not—whatever you’re thinking. Next question, dammit.

Weaknesses?
Tall, brooding men who loom, apparently.

Strangest thing that’s happened to you this week?
Got kidnapped by a strange pack, and they all keep trying to feed me.

(At that point, he refused to answer any more questions and stole my pen.)

An Impossible Mate is the first in the Strength of the Pack series.

Weekly wolves incoming

Good news for anyone who likes brooding alphas, defiant strays, slow-burn tension, and wolves who are terrible at communication: An Impossible Mate is now available for pre-order!

Releasing January 29th, it will also be available via Kindle Unlimited.

This is the first in a six-book series, because apparently restraint is for people who don’t have a head full of demanding shifters and found-family dramas.

In An Impossible Mate, alpha Matt is trying to keep his pack together, his past behind him, and his temper in check. Jesse, a loner with strong opinions and no filter, crashes into Matt’s life with exactly zero respect for pack rules.

It does not go well.

Until it very much does.

New books in the series will release weekly all the way through March 5th — which means no waiting. (Unless you’re Matt, in which case: sorry, you’re going to be waiting a while for Jesse to admit anything other than his distrust of chickens.)

Thanks so much to everyone who’s already been excited about the series. I can’t wait to share it with you.

Strength of the Pack – release dates and an introduction

Images of book cover for Strength of the Pack.

Text in the image reads: Strength of the Pack, The complete series, releasing weekly January 29 - March 5.

A series about finding your place, facing your past, and risking everything for the ones who see you clearly - and love you anyway.

Strength of the Pack is a complete six-book series following the Elk Ridge pack—a tiny group of wolf-shifters, living quietly and minding their own business on a ranch outside a sleepy Colorado town.

Until Jesse Turner arrives.

Jesse is a stray wolf, deeply allergic to rules, reluctant to trust, and entirely uninterested in pack life—especially under the rule of a bossy, brooding alpha. (Hi, Matt.)

From the moment Jesse stumbles into Elk Ridge, wounded, prickly, and opinionated, everything changes. The pack is drawn into inter-pack disputes, political intrigue, and murder. On the plus side, they start meeting a lot more people—one or two of whom might just turn out to be someone’s long-lost mate.

Or not.

An Impossible Mate will release on 29th January, and a new book will follow every week for the full six-book series.

New series coming in January 2026

I haven’t updated the blog in a while, but I’ve been quietly working away on something that means a lot to me: revisiting my first series, Strength of the Pack.

When I got the rights back at the end of last year, I thought I’d lightly revise the original novellas and put them back out into the world. But when I started re-reading, I realised how much more I wanted to do with these characters. What began as a small update became a complete reworking—these books are each, on average, 25,000 words longer than the originals.

The series will begin re-releasing in early 2026, one book a week for six weeks. I’ll share exact dates, covers, and pre-order info soon.

I’m so happy to bring this series back and to have been able to breathe new life into it. If you read the original novellas, I hope you’ll enjoy the expanded versions. And if you’re coming to the pack for the first time—welcome. There’s a place for everyone in Elk Ridge!
