A cinnamon roll hero

I don’t know who first came up with that delightful description of a hero who’s sweet and lovely the whole way through, but I love it.

I first discovered cinnamon rolls on a backpacking trip to the U.S. after university and was instantly convinced of their superiority to almost any other bread-based product.

And Jason, in A Liar’s Moon, is the cinnamoniest roll there ever was. A total sweetheart, his shyness and goodness cause a bit of a malfunction in Riley’s jaded cycnism.
